Carol Doak's November BOM

Got it done and posted in my Paper-Piecing Album.

I'm afraid I'm going to run out of the dark green. I know I bought it in Wal-Mart about 2 years ago. Anybody have any they want to get rid of?

Sorry, Kay, I don't have any of that green, but you block is lovely. :) Hey -- what's with the car wreck???? Are you okay?

Your blocks look great! That fabric looks very familiar...my Wal-Mart may still have it. I'll check for you.

If you still have a Walmart that sells fabric, go check for it. Mine still has some and yours probably does too. Let me know. Debra in VA See my quilts at

I got busy this afternoon and finished my November block for Carol Doak's Yahoo group. Since she gave the pattern without any color suggestions at all, it's up to each person to decide how many colors, what will be background, etc. It's amazing how different the same pattern can look! (People post their finished blocks to albums on her Yahoo group so that we can compare.)

Those are the three blocks I've done so far. We just started this in September.

The car wreck occurred yesterday morning at the end of the apartment complex driveway. And of course I live on the end of the building. I took the pictures for the custodian at my school. It was his wife who was hit. They don't even live in this neighborhood, but she was on her way home from work and passing through. I was just sitting there at my window and sewing when I saw the school custodian in my parking lot. I went out to see what was up. I took the pictures for their records. Files were way too big to send them via email. I sat and talked with her while the police and her husband and the tow truck driver were haggling over things. I did get to watch the other driver go through his sobriety test and get hauled away in handcuffs. Drunk at ten o'clock in the morning.

Thanks! Those colors are really out of my comfort range, but I somehow had those fabrics in my stash so I decided to go for it! They're certainly bright.

Whew! I'm glad no one was hurt and that you were able to be of help in the situation. Drunk at 10:00? What are some people thinking???

Too many people don't realise that after a night ( or evening) drinking, the alcohol is still in the bloodstream until well into the next day.
