Fire Fighting fabric

Hey Everyone

One of our local volunteer fire departments was able to build sleeping quarters onto the fire station. Being volunteers they don't have the money bed lines, blankets or quilts.

I was thinking of making them quilts. Do you know where I can find fire fighting fabric or something in the line of Firefighters.

There is a LOT OF Firefighting related fabrics around if you get just do a search. Are you sure this is really what you want to do though? Most is kind of juvenile oriented and kind of overkill for real firefighters. They might enjoy something more basic and less theme oriented. Think hard wearing too. Great project though, whatever you choose. Good for you!

Bro was a volunteer firefighter. I have a few that are more 'grown-up' including firefighters hats, Dalmatians and dog paw prints. those are the first that come to mind. I don't have time to find the rest of the 'set-aside' ones.

Thanks everyone. I found some fabric with fire fighting symbols, boots and fire hydrants.

I was just looking through some of the stuff that Virginia Quilter has on sale this week and found some fire helmets and some cool fire hose stripes:

You have to page down past the Dick & Jane stuff & more to find the helmets on black and the hose stripes. The helmets on blue are down even farther.
