Who uses Twitter?

I got to thinking about the Facebook users who are now identified in the soon-to-be-published Directory and wondered who uses Twitter. I have recently gotten hooked on Twitter (have been a member for a while, but just went hog-wild in the last few weeks). There is a really good application for the iPhone and iTouch called "Tweetie" that works great. I searched for quilters and found a good number of them. If you want to follow me, I am known as iNANA (you know, like iPOD).

Directory is coming, I promise. It's going a bit slower this time, but we're almost done.

No Joanna. We just added a category in the still private RCTQ directory for Facebook users. Just a yes or no as to whether someone is on Facebook. It will be up to each person to track down the other FBers.

Thanks, Kathyl. You did a great job of explaning this. Sorry folks, the Directory will only have a Y if the person is a Facebook user and only if the person entered said Y on the Directory form.

I'm still looking for some Twitters though!

I may have to look into Twitter. Like I need another time sucker.

I really can't believe that anything I do would be vitally important to anyone other than those who share my house. And I can yell downstairs to tell them what I'm doing.

I'm not sure what value Twitter would be. I suspect it would suck up more of my time and that I do not need. I'm quite capable of wasting time as it is.

Sunny (didn't mean to sound so grumpy -- if it works for you, then go for it. The New Media are only going to grow in apps and followers)

hhmmm - I'm on facebook, myspace, I have a blog, and a website. I can't for the life of me think of a reason to join something else! I have heard that it's fun - but I'm with Sunny - I need more time to quilt and less time spent updating online!

Well, I've gone and done it. I'm on twitter too. Had a conference call with some other Simply Music teachers about making connections with the homeschool community, and Twitter was one of the outlets mentioned. I'm Musicmaker1959
