On behalf of Karen and myself, thanks for all the kudos. We actually had the easier part - we had to make it look nice and easy to read and print. You all had to decide on TWO favorite colors and TWO fabric types! Some were more creative in how they expressed those (all, any, all but....) and then there were those who needed a bit more room! If memory serves me correctly, purple and green were the top favorites along with batiks and blenders. In the "good old days" there was someone who always did the stats on how many liked blue and the month with the most birthdays and how many entries we had from New Zealand. I did some of those and I will post them if any of you analytical types would like to know.

I know the page count is getting larger, up to 21 pages now. I could reduce the print size but that probably wouldn't save more than 3 pages and would be harder on the eyes. It appears that the zip file format worked ok and the comments regarding getting the 3 formats were mostly positive.

The Facebook folks got their column - and next year I have to put a Y in that column - I am now on Facebook - haven't a clue yet how to use it or find my way around, but I'll get there eventually. I have been active on Twitter - there are a few of us on that and they have now started Twitter twibes, or a way for folks with common interests to group together. I joined the quilting twibe this morning.

But I digress......

The time will pass by quickly and it will be time for the next Directory. As you use the new one, let us know if there are things that worked well for you or not. We're always open to new suggestions. But for now, enjoy! It was our pleasure!

Boy, do I ever know what you mean, Alice! I joined Facebook recently, too, at the urging of someone I know -- I can't quite figure out what the reason for it is.

I feel that way about MySpace. I'll confess that I do have a MySpace though. However, my reason for it is that I have a younger twenty-something cousin who prefers to send emails through MySpace rather than regular email. Why? I dunno. So I keep a page to communicate with her. I never do anything else with it though. If it weren't for her, I'd delete it.

Want to add my thanks for another fabulous directory! :-)

Best regards, Michelle in NV

I recently joined Facebook as well since all my siblings are on it. David tells me I have to do something with my page, but I just don't have the time!

I second that, Maureen! I got my page started and haven't done a thing with it since. Not that I would know how! Maybe when we get to Cape Hatteras in two weeks, I can figure it all out. I have become a Twitter nut though! Anyone on Twitter can find me as iNANA.
