Well, Nana2B, you must be getting anxious by now... Your first grandbaby is due anytime now isn't he/she?
The first of our 3 grandbabies that were born this spring, Baby James (born Mar 10) is now a whopping 10lbs 4oz. and WE GOT TO BRING HIM HOME WITH US !!! (huge grin).
I went into the city to baby sit for them on Tues while Mom went to the doctors. I was teasing her about just taking him home with me and bringing him back in a few days. She said "Well you could take him for the night but he has a Dr. appointment in the morning." She was not keen on the "few days" part. Today (Sat) we drove into the city to meet this family and a 3 yr old grand daughter with her mom at the zoo. James's daddy said "so are you going to take him home for the night?" My response was it would be Tuesday before they got him back cause I was not driving into the city again in the morning. (a 1 hour drive each way). They laughed and said "don't think so!" About an hour later Mom comes over and says "if you want to take him till Tues, you can" So after a very exhausting but enjoyable day at the zoo, we went back to their place, loaded up on baby supplies and here we are! Baby James asleep on the couch beside me on one side, Grandpa asleep on the couch beside me on the other side and the 2 dogs asleep on the floor at my feet. It is so wonderful to snuggle with him. He is a very cuddly and responsive baby. Smiling and talking whenever he can get someone's attention. I got pics at the zoo and hope to get some with his quilt from Grama in the morning, and will try to post them tomorrow. Looking forward to your announcement Linda! I'm sure you will love being a Grama as much as I do.
Well, Grama better get some sleep while little one is sleeping. They say he should sleep thru till about 5am but I'm not counting on it.
