OT home again

I'm glad I spent the time with my parents. It was very difficult to say goodbye yesterday. I arrived home today to find out the owner expects us to vacate the apartment by Mar 1 for the new leasee to move in but we are also expected to stay around til the 15th to orient the new leasee/manager. So there is a lot of work and decisions to be made in the next 10 days....... and very little quilting.

They are putting you out -- but expect you to stay and train your "replacements"? Am I reading that right....

Sounds terribly unfair to me!

But glad you had a nice visit with your family.

And they're paying for your Hotel bill for those two weeks? If not, to heck with them.

You read that right as far as DH and I understand. But it won't happen that way. When I take the last box out of the apartment, I'm gone too.

I've been trying to unwind this evening and deciding which quilt projects will stay "up front" and go with me wherever. Found places to keep my houseplants, special garden plants currently in pots, etc. I'm hoping our QI Molly Cat can stay with us.

I hope SHE knows what she's up against especially if she wants the apartment March 1. Like I wrote earlier, when I carry out the last box, I'm gone. After we decide where we will land, I will have to search the new directory and see who lives in our new area....I'm sure I will find someone. :)

What a rotten deal with the motel. And a stressful time otherwise too. Remember that folks here care and you are in out thoughts. (Interested in moving to Wisconsin? I know of a small motel for sale there. :)

Thanks for the tip on the Wisconsin motel but we don't want to buy one. And we prefer to stay close to family. :)

Funny, I had been thinking the same thing: why not get your OWN hotel and then YOU can bet eh one that says 'what's what'. you have enuf experience.maybe find one near to where you are?

And it would be a nice pace to stay besides a Big Name hotel that you take your chances on.

Butterfly ( file for unemployment before you go anywhere else. That will give you more time to decide which way you want your life to go)
