OT: I'm Back!!!

My new Dell computer is up and running, squeezed in between my sewing machine and my cutting equipment. It's a tight squeeze and I don't know how long it will work, but for now everything's here together.

To all the requests for prayers over the past month, I've kept you all in my heart and prayers and asked that any new needs be cared for. And I've just been dying to see Polly's pictures. Wow, it really is a new day!

I'm working on a quilt, JUST FOR ME. Can you believe it? Of course I'm doing a half dozen other things as well, but this bundle of sweet flowery half yards just captured my heart during a 40% off sale at Craft Warehouse.

With my computer up and ready, I'm probably going to get a new blog started. Something quilty, of course. My son suggested calling it Sunny Days, and that may stick. Not sure yet.

Life is pretty good right now. And I'm headed upstairs for a much needed and well deserved nap.

Hugs all around, Sunny

'The best laid plans', Sunny. I had this silly notion of learning camera, artfully draping a quilt from a low branch of the mimosa in full bloom and really showing off. Instead, the pictures are of a friend with a quilt around her neck and over her head. Ah well. Maybe next time. Polly

Yep, Welcome back to Sunny. Hope the new machine works out really well for you. Let us know about your blog.

Polly, you might be interested to know that mimosa trees grow really well here in my corner of the desert. Seems they should like a damper climate but they do well in a low water situation. I have a beautiful one in the front yard, not to mention a zillion seedlings all over the place. The birds and bees enjoy them and the fragrance wafts into my sewing room. I see you picture in my mind. Don't give up on the camera.

Our mimosa doesn't 'do' perfume. Maybe she has allergies. However, we have a super-size gardenia that has this side of the Swamp smelling like a Hootchie Mama on the prowl. Polly
