Did you miss me??? grin
After a long stint of family stuff - 6 year old grandson visit for 10 days,
2 weeks with mom-in-law and Brother-I-L, My computer caught a virus and died sniff, sniff. The upside is that I now have a new laptop! Yay! Now I just have to get it all set up again and try to restore all my stuff. Thankfully, we had a backup system for all my business books, family pics, etc. I have my email too, but haven't tried yet to import it to this new system. I now have Vista Home Premium - wow does it look different, Windows Mail instead of Outlook Express and a trial version of Microsoft Office. The only additions I've added so far are the backups of my business books and my virus protection software, email and newsgroups, I'm not really sure what happened to the old laptop. It had been having some disturbing problems for awhile, and we were hoping it would last a few more months, but we added a network accessable storage system for backups just incase. I guess it paid off. I got a birthday ecard from an old friend and I opened it. I don't normally open cards anymore, but I hadn't heard from this friend in awhile. Anyway, shortly after my computer froze, and after many hours of computer techies (family thank god!) doing their thing they have declared it dead. Cost more to fix than its worth.
Anyway, I'm back. Thanks for letting me tell my tale.
