OT:interesting discovery

Was going through the "skill builder" books that I will be using for DS this summer and sicovered something that made me look twice...it looked like a quilt block..then later, it looked like a mini-quilt.

Turns out, it was!! In the math section of one of the books (will be combining the books and hand-on work), they have a picture of a quilt block. Each section has a math problem in it. The child is supposed to solve the math problem, then color the section based on the answer....looked at answer key, and the block looks really cool!!!

Am toying with the idea of taking the finished work-sheets and letting DS use them to make his own quilt - well, that brings it back on topic, right?? Quilting *IS* one of the things he has asked me to teach him (which is WAY cool!!)

Off to go sort arts/crafts projects, then maybe on to doing the Asian baby quilt that is waiting to go under the needle
