No idea about Debrett's but one of my wonderful Aunts-in-law had a 1950s issue of the Women's Weekly Guide to Housekeeping or some such nonsensical title which kept me amused for hours. Things such as making sure both you and the house were "presentable" for when your DH came home from a hard day at the coalface (ie office). Rubbing his feet while after you'd made him a restorative alcoholic beverage he sat in his recliner and you chatted gaily about his day while not troubling him with the trifles of your own day. I kid you not! Whilst I had to return the book, I found a similar one which I turn to when I need a laugh.
