and checking your local PBS stations schedule, what programs they carry varies by station, but here in CT we have several PBS stations, and we get Quilting from the Heartland or Kay's Quilting Friends (I don't remember which), Fons and Porters Love of Quilting, and American Quilts Creatively with Sue Hausman. Sometimes they also have Quilt Central with Janie Walters(I think that's her name).

HGTV also still runs Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson, though they are all reruns at this point. They are on weekdays at 8:30 eastern time, I'm sure you could find out when they are on in your area by looking at the schedule on

I believe that DIY channel also might run Simply Quilts, but we don't get that station, so I'm not positive.

Hope this helps. Tracey in CT

In Seattle on KBTC (Comcast channel 12) they have 30 minute quilting programs in a solid block from 8am till noon on Saturday. KCTS, channel 9, has a few programs scattered through out the week and come on in the *VERY* early morning. I'm not in the mood for Sewing with Nancy at 5am so KBTC 12 is my choice for the best quilting/sewing programming.

Hi Anne! I'm in the PNW also. If you have DSL or higher, try QNN online. It's 24/7. I'm waiting for Linda Taylor to come on right now at 3:30 our time. Lots of interesting bits on the "channel" and no need to join. Have fun. LW

Hi Anne If you can get PBS station KBTC on your cable, turn on your TV at 8AM every Saturday and sit back and relax for the next 4.5 hours. There are several quilting shows back to back, and also "Sewing with Nancy" and Martha Pullen. I often spend my Saturday mornings with a good cuppa joe, watching the shows and seeing what's new. Sometimes, they're repeats, but most of the time, very good.
