Dad is having day surgery for recurrent bladder cancer this morning, and Mom was rushed to the hospital yesterday for a bowel obstruction. She's having surgery also. My sister has flown home and I'm poised by the phone to hear if I'm needed too. Any prayers, good wishes, or extra good karma you can send to El Paso is much appreciated!

I am so sorry to hear your parents are having such serious health problems and at exactly the same time. Whew! What a load for you and your family. I've got positive thoughts heading to El Paso that both of your parents get through their surgeries with wonderful outcomes.
In the meantime, although it's tough, try to get some rest yourself. We don't want you to get sick too!
