OT: moving house tomorrow maybe!

Just a quick look in on you all.

I may be moving house tomorrow if all the necessary paperwork has got to our estate agent. We're going to be renting a French Farmhouse and we can't wait, but we won't know until tomorrow if our cheque from the bank has arrived with them. Fingers crossed please, we are currently staying in a little French Gite (holiday home) with way to many insects of the many legged kind. It is also miles and I mean miles from anywhere, which is fine if you want a quiet holiday, but with 2 children, it is an expedition everytime they want to do something.

The house that we will or should be renting has 4 bedrooms, large living/dining room and large kitchen and an integral garage. It is situated in the middle of 500 metres squared of land! So plenty of room for the kids to play and also grow some of our own food. Would love to grow plants that I can use to dye fabric with and then make some sort of masterpiece......yes I am dreaming.......aahhhhh.... It is also only 2 mins out of town, with 1 supermarket, several little shops, schools, library and cinema - sounds almost civilised compared to here.

Anyway, I'll try and check in again soon, depending on what happens. Try not to write soooo much, I haven't had to catch up lately ;p)

Love to all

WOOOHOOOO!!! it sounds divine!

so.. how's the French bread ? still fresh twice a day?

remembering many walks to shops in France to get the bread and eating some on the way home while holding the bread under an arm...

This all sounds so fascinating Janner! I think you should title your weekly posts "Letter from France" a la Alister Cook. In fact, maybe a TV reality show -- the English seem to be doing alots of these with families and chefs moving to rural France and documenting their trials and tribulations!

I'm entranced, Bronnie Oz
