OT: off for a bit

Keep on chatting everyone, I will be reading, but probably not posting for a while. Because of how much stuiff I actually have to go through in order to even get ready for tax time, I start in January. This is what I will be doing for the next couple of weeks - have to wait for the last medical papers and such to get here so that I can tally that up with the correct amount and whatnot.

Also have to go through all the mielage stuff for DH and his travel . Good thing is that is company is supposed to be making it so that we can access hiw W-2 online to get the tax forms filled out quicker (I think they will still be sending a copy in the mail, but this will make it easier to get things started).

So.....quilt for me, have some chocolate for me, and email me if you need me for anything....back when I can finish slogging through all of this

Howdy!

"off for a bit" --- well, SHE said it!

After all, that is your tag line so, like, Duh!, Larisa!

Please Finish several quilts or other projects while you're not posting. We got the chocolate part handled, thankyouverymuch.

Happy New Year!

This is such a busy time of year. I will be joining you in busy lurkdom, Larissa. Do you hate the tax thing as much as I do? Sometimes I wish there was a simple flat tax rate. Other times I am just grateful that I can scratch and claw for every penny of deduction I can muster.

Don't forget to do some of the fun part of quilting, even if you are really busy. It's always to take time to smell the fat quarters.

A big W-2 hug, Sunny

Boy, howdy, do I hear ya! I not only have my normal quarterly payroll stuff to do, I have W-2's and at least 30 1099-R's to prepare and mail before the end of the month. My problem is that I only remembered yesterday to order them so if they don't get here by the 15th, I will be forced to drive 3 hours to the nearest IRS facility to pick some up. Fortunately, there are quilty shops that I love in whichever direction I choose to drive, North to KC or West to Wichita! The bad news is that I don't have time to do it! These are not downloadable forms because "we are the government and we don't care that you are inconvenienced".

I'm also hopping on a bus with a bunch of nuts to go to Oklahoma City for the quilt show. Good show, bad time of year. But, as Sunny said, you gotta stop and smell the Fat Quarters!
