DD got a good report yesterday and will be able to go off the daily antibiotic infusions by the end of the week. She is in another cast for another 2 weeks and then they'll check her foot again. Drs are pleased with the progress. Her foot doesn't look so 'angry'. She now can put her foot down for balance for the first time and very gradually 'add weight' until she gets it up to 100%...could be a month or so but it's a start. Now to keep her from wanting to go 'too quickly'....

I go next Tues for my update. I'm at 100% weight on it with Das Boot as of last Friday. Must still take the scooter if/when I go shopping so I won't overdo. Hopefully, I'll get RID of both (scooter and Das Boot) then. So far, I've been to the Book Store (help was superb--I just handed them a list and waited ; ) and used the store's scooter at the grocery store. I can even stand normally the entire time I make dinner. Still not by the SM but that's ok...I'll get there.
