OT Ping whoever is here

My vigilant filtering system is awful this morning. Do we have good news about Judie's grandbaby and is Barbara feeling just a little better? Polly

Have any of us attempted to persuade you that a Netti-pot could be of a great help? The last time I had one of those attacks, I would have gleefully snuffled up water from a drainage ditch if I thought it would give me any relief at all. Polly

Gee, Barbara, I am lots reluctant to suggest anything as sick as you are - but - if a sinus headache is part of your pain, go look here and see what you think.

Oh! Just horse poop! That doesn't work. When you get there, you'll have to type in neti pot at 'search'. Sorry. Polly

Neti pot probably won't help with the chest stuff, but it is wonderful for sinus pain. I always feel loads better after using it.

Polly,

The new baby and her mom are now home from the hospital, baby went to be checked by the doctor this morning and she's doing well.

It was to have been a home birth but it turned out she needed to be taken to a hospital about 45 minutes from here that has a very nice family birthing center. They didn't rush her into surgery which is what she was afraid of with this one. I know we've all heard about the sky rocketing cesarean rate in most of the hospitals.

I really think that the power of this group helped and I thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, whatever it was you sent it worked. I've always believed the power of this group is just about unbeatable.

Friar's Balsam will shift congestion and sinus headache very swiftly.

You use about a teaspoonful in a pint of boiling (or just off the boil) water and inhale the steam under a towel. UNless, like me, you have one of those plastic inhaler cups. The Friar's Balsam is like tar, so don't use anything precious, but it works a treat.

Also invaluable for lost voices, 'teachers' desease' and 'singers' frog'.

My father insisted we use this (along with a ghastly medicine which you took in warm water) three times a day, until the thing cleared. He was a doctor of the old sort, but in this he had the right of it. It worked.

And that's all I needed to know...

I just saw neti pot for sale in Sam's. I got mine years ago at the drug store. It is great!
