Picking up my new machine this morning

My Pfaff 2048 is ready and waiting at a local shop! My old Pfaff 1475 will be heading to my DSIL. After 20+ years, I thought it would be nice to upgrade. DSIL only sews occasionally, and just does some table runners etc. She has been using my old 40yr+ Kenmore, and was hoping that I would be getting a new machine soon. She'll be retiring soon, and will enjoy a machine that doesn't sound like a tank!

Good luck with your new Pfaff, Susan. I hope you have many happy sewing hours with her! Pat in Virginia, and Pfilomina Pfaff

Thanks. Picked her up this morning, and returned home just in time to head to my quilting group for the afternoon. Fortunately DH looked after dinner so I could try out some of the new or different features of my new baby. Did some piecing as well, and love my 1/2 inch foot that actually produces a scant 1/4 inch seam. Had everyone do a test on their seam allowance this afternoon before we got started. Some were amazed at how far off they were! We used Bonnie's method from the
