OT - Prayer Request Please

One of my grand-daughters fell off the monkey bars tonight, and broke her elbow. I would appreciate any prayers and good thoughts for a good recovery. Thanks so much.

Maybe, maybe casts have improved through the years - but when we were going through the monkey bars and broken bones phase, the edges of the casts were rough and got worse. I remember cutting bands from the tops of soft white socks, gently poking one edge down inside the cast and folding the other edge over the outside of the cast. It kept that sweet young skin from becoming irritated. Back then, the casts were always white and became quite grubby just in no time. I saw a little lady recently sporting a neon pink cast. We would hope they've also figured out how to make them smooth. Polly

Hugs headed your way

I can sympathise - when I broke my arm/wrist doc put on one of those fibreglass thingy casts that are supposedly lighter and waterproof - nada on both counts, and what was worse - you couldn't write on this one!!

Hope she gets better soon TerriLee!!

Wouldn't Minkee make a soft cushion! No broken bones here at the moment, but I can remember the irritation on DS s. Anna Belle in Palm Bay, relieved that Ernesto fizzled.

She sounds like a beautiful girl. I had a tomboy girl like that, always hanging upside down in a tree or something, and she turned out to be a very special woman. Prayers that your girl comes through this just fine. Jeanbaby
