Emergency Prayer Request!

I know there are a bunch of praying people here, and I hope y'all don't mind if I put in a request--

My brother Buddy has been admitted to the hospital here with a pulmonary embolism (they originally thought it was pneumonia and they've been treating him with antibiotics)--but yesterday he was having so much pain and trouble breathing they admitted him and ran a bunch of tests. This morning they did a cat scan and discovered the p.e. and began treating him for that--he's on oxygen now in the ICU for better observation, and also on heparin (blood thinners)--my SIL Cathy and nephew Brandon are having a difficult time with all of this, since my brother rarely if ever gets sick. :*(

They've taken another more detailed cat scan this evening and the results are supposed to be back in about half an hour here.

If y'all could say a prayer for Buddy and Cathy, or think good thoughts or whatever, we would sure appreciate it!

I'll update when I hear any more news.

Thanks to all who responded, we really appreciate it! :*)

Talked to Cathy awhile ago, turns out Buddy has DVT (blood clots in both legs) AND blood clots in both lungs, which is why he's been hurting so bad. He's on full mask oxygen in ICU still, and on the heparin, and on total bedrest for the next 3-5 days. She hadn't talked to the dr yet, so hopefully next time I hear from her, she'll know more about when they want to drain the fluid from his lungs so he can breathe easier. I'll update when I get more info.
