OT: sad day in NH

Apr 13, 2012 5 Replies

Last night 5 NH Police Officers and Detectives were shot by drug dealers in a small town here. The Chief of Police was killed, he was supposed to retire next week. Two other officers are in critical condition, and two others had less serious injuries.

Drugs are so prevalent in this country now, it's heart breaking.

Please pray for the families of these brave men.

"Denise in NH" ...

It has been on the news down here. It is so sad when any of our good guys are hurt and killed. Barbara in FL

This is a tragic story. My heart goes out to the family and loved ones of these heros. Keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. Any idea if they have a donation fund set up yet?

My ds's dept. was hit really hard with losses in 2010. It is so tough on everyone. Gangs are a big problem here in So. Cal. It sounds like the rest of the country is getting the spillover from the big cities. It is not a good thing. : ( taria

That breaks my heart! We live in a relatively "safe" area, but my DH & I were just talking about it today - where can you really call "safe" anymore. There are problems everywhere & the spillover from the metropolitan areas is hitting the suburbs hard. So terribly sorry for the losses in NH.

We've been busy having a great-grandchild and assorted other crisis(i) and didn't know about the great tragedy in NH. What a shock. I just have this comfortable picture of NH as being a safe quiet nice place to live. Please give us an update on the condition of the critical condition officers. Our local news is very 'selective' about what they cover. Polly

I'm so sorry...like Polly, i have this image of NH being just sweet and lovable as a place to live.

and Polly--i hope all is well down there.
