Lots of good thoughts coming from Western New York for everyone concerned. I can only imagine the pain for your DS and his SO. And the pain and confusion for the little ones.
Isn't there anyone at all that can pick your DH up from the airport? The 5 hour drive with babies who are already upset is not something I would even attempt and then when they arrive they will be in a strange place. Maybe you can visit next weekend if not this weekend.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and good thoughts.
Thankfully, my house is not a "strange place". All the babies have spent lots of time here, as they've always come to visit fairly frequently. For the first 2.5 years of the oldest girl's life, they lived here. John insists that he will be fine with the drive, so what can I do? I'm just keeping praying for them. I will keep everyone posted, so that no one worries unnecessarily, I promise.

TerriLee, my heart goes out to you. My youngest DS went through the same thing a couple of years ago. His wife left him with a three year old little girl. He was at loose ends for a little while but with a lot of help from my Mom and sister he has done a great job. I live about 6 hours from them and still work 3 to 4 days a week so get home as often as I can to help them. You and your son and his children will be in my prayers.
