OT: sort of

I'm back. Wow, what a wonderful place. It's Holden Village, Lutheran retreat that welcomes everyone regardless of faith or not faith or.... I could write a book about my week, but will just say that I slept a lot, ate more good bread than anyone should and learned to knit. Whoopee! Now I have a good reason to buy funky yarn!.

The Craft Cave at Holden has three sewing machines, two ancient and miserable Singers and one ancient and broken Bernina. One of the Singers was not working because the needle had broken. They only order enough needles for each machine to have one. Well, I'm mailing them a ton of needles come Monday.

Ok, I'm pooped and in need of sleep. Hugs to all, Sunny

I thought you'd probably like it. And yes, the bread is wonderful -- and the homemade jam. Actually, all the food was good, though a bit lower on the food chain than we are usually used to.
