does indeed seem odd someone'd bother doing street view for such a tiny unimportant country as nz, eh. maybe the smallness makes it easier in some ways. less streets to drive down. had to take months and months and months to get thru every last dadgum street, even here. still i'm having fun. i found DDs street but as i've not been to her house (she lives in wellington) i dont know what i'm looking for, other than they live in a 3 story place and i dont see one in that part of her street. oh well, i did email her so maybe she'll work out the map system and then can show me. they might of got all the street numbers wrong there too. still tis fun look'n. surely Canada cant be far behind. j.~~~~~~~~

This time when I looked, your house number had moved from the middle of your street to right over your actual house. I just put No 2 in so it would move and I could see!

on the satellite view? wish it didnt take so long for pages to load on dial up. heck even broadband is slow here compared to the usa. on day they'll all get their crap together on this and give us something faster like the rest of the western world has, til then i wont pay the price for the little extra speed over dial up. off to have a look see at it. ta for the heads up, Sally. j.

I wondered if Jack meant a Hamilton in Australia, I think that there is probably one in every state. So where in Australia did you live Jack ?

130 Glebe Point Road, Sydney, in 1974.

The Street View picture shows a guy sitting on a bench in front of it with legs each side of a pole. They've painted or harled it brown since I was there. There is a photo of it as I remember it here:

(I left before most of the fun described there happened, though I knew a lot of the people involved and some lived there at the same time as me). My room had the upper floor window you can see on the left. It was smaller than it looks.
