OT they never give up

The last few days I've received spams saying my bank has refused the transfer of payment on my income tax. Really? I didn't transfer payment to ANYBODY . I don't allow anybody access to my bank account - NOT the IRS, not the phone company, not the credit cards. NOBODY. Well. Maybe Mr. Esther, but only if he provides a photo i.d., passes the TSA and provides a dna sample. Could anybody be gullible enough to fall for that one? Lord have mercy, I guess they could. They never give up, do they? Polly

Too true. I am now getting e-mails from my Bank assuring me that they would never ask for any details in an e-mail! It's coming to something .... . In message , Polly Esther writes

I've been getting emails the last month that say they are from my ISP and if I don't send them info about my email login etc. I am going to lose this service. Suuuure! The grammer isn't right, it's a text message with no html or graphics, and there is not login page. They just want a reply with the information. Some of them even want a return receipt saying I read them. I'm no fool, no sireee!

The 'best' spam that I had recently told me that a postal delivery was attempted, no one was home, so please click on the link to schedule a new delivery date. It looked pretty authentic but was in the middle of a postal strike LOL. Allison

Howdy! I heard that Mr. E increased his requests when the i.d. process included manual pat-downs. mm-hmm...

No, "they" don't give up, and they won't. Our best tool is vigilance.

I don't give up, either. Just got a new box of 100 fat quarters from Keepsake. Now they're doing a 25 for $25 - so tempting, but I'll bet I already have most of them (that deal sold out!).

we used to get those at work (from Nigeria, etc...) but when i tried to report it, the bank police told me to call the real police...they gave me the number of the secret service...apparently they take care of these types of spam correspondences. i did call the sec.serv. and never got another spam like that again. worth a try!
