I'm just sorry I missed him when he was on.

How wonderful for you! We hear from my step son in Iraq every 10 days or so, but I don't think he has his cell phone with him. He calls collect or uses a phone card when he is able. I'm not sure if they have access to computers on a regular basis, but he does have an email addy that we use.

Isn't technology wonderful! I will pray that he stays safe and sound!

This reminds me of the weekly phone call home from school from my bro: he used to rattle everything off like a talking machine gun, getting everything he needed in the way of news in, no wasted words, and usually a request for something like money for a school trip, more socks and underpants, or for trousers as he'd grown out of them! All for 2d as it was in those days (early 70's, before we went over to digital money!).
