for this week.
What a lovely block design!
I love Carol Doak's blocks.
Ooooohhhhh. pretty! Debi
Thanks.
That's cool!! I really am going to have to learn to do paper piecing. I love the fancy blocks you guys do with it.
It's really fun. Maybe you can come down for a day when I'm off work.
TerriLee, Carol Doak has a new DVD (I've heard it's excellent, though I don't have it -- yet) that explains how to do it. In addition, you should come over and join Carol's Yahoo group -- there are lots of newbies there who are just learning, and everyone is having lots of fun. :)
I'll step in and second that! I did buy Carol's DVD because I was having some problems with my paper-piecing, and once I watched the DVD, it all made sense and worked well. All sorts of fun things going on in her group, too!

Well, now, that sounds like fun!! I think you're about 5 hrs away!! Can I come for the weekend? I could bring stash or chocolate, to pay my way.
Yes, Karen Q of S, has reccommended the dvd, too. Up until about 2 weeks ago, I didn't know that I could do it by machine. I've got about 3 major projects in work right now, but I'll get to it eventually.
Yikes!! I can barely keep up with this group. I do NOT need to join another, really I don't!
The weekend would be fun if I didn't have to work. This week I had Monday and have tomorrow off.
Sure you do. Who needs to eat and sleep and clean house. LOL
what's that last one? I don't know what the words clean house mean....
I understand the concept of cleaning house. Just not as it might apply to me ;-)
Anne > what's that last one? I don't know what the words clean house mean.... >
yeah well sterile houses are not good for small kidlets - leads to allergies and I have more than my fair share - got a new kind of printer ink and am suffering after printing off 20 odd pages of PP patterns :-S
I'm not sure. Someone did mention it tho.
Clean house... That's what my mother has after her two ladies have been in! My house is clean in patches... Usually the loo and wash basin in the bathroom, and the towels... Bath is OK, but don't look closely at the shelves, the ends of the bath, and the windowsill... Kitchen work surfaces and cooker are usually clean at least once per day, sometimes more often, but the floor is a disgrace. Good job the cats and the dog don't care! And I hate the floor in there, so try to keep it hidden! White floor in a kitchen? Madness! Never again!
The sewing room is usually the cleanest room over all, but there are hidden pockets of dust and spider webs. Who, after all, dusts books that are 7 feet off the floor!
that sounds like a cosy home to me :-D
