Here is the other reason I haven't been sewing lately. I managed to put together a number of pieces of furniture to enable myself to build a table to inset the Janome 1600. This table also acts as a table stand for the drawing board for Calligraphy and art work, when the machine is removed. The small cabinet below is remade from an earlier cabinet, and the insetting makes the flush surface that is more desirable without the use of an accessory extension table. Everything is solid Cherry. Altogether a productive month away from sewing, but I did buy a bunch of fabric, so I can get back into it soon enough. I still have a few more woodworking projects and a bathroom remodeling to start after the first of the year, but hopefully I can squeeze a quilt in before that.
Here you go.
