OT Winter pictures

I know many of us can't stand the thought of looking at more snow, but I uploaded a few pictures I took during and after just one of our many storms. I was struck by the way the snow stuck to the trees and looked just like the Royal Icing that is used to make gingerbread houses. I guess we had the perfect combination of snow, ice and rain to make it look this way. Enjoy! Or skip them if you can't stomach any more winter! :-)

Straight from Narnia!!

Luckily I live in Camelot, and the high winds blew most of ours away during the night. (And piled it up elsewhere, of course!)

I enjoyed them, and I think after our next go-round tomorrow and Tuesday, I'll take some of my own just to have some memories of this winter. It's been a not-very-nice one, but I do enjoy how beautiful it can be - as long as you don't have to drive in it!

Our street is only showing through in some places....the rest of it is hard packed ice and snow. It's like a gravel road when driving on it. We live half way down a gentle sloped hill and for a few days, we had to go down to the bottom to get enough momentum to get to the top. I haven't even checked to see what's coming this week. OH my. DD's school has missed 7 days so far. She will be teaching until the 4th of July!

Louise - PLEASE keep all the snow you want!!! The rest of it will head up our way (Maine) Tues nite-Wed. as a "Winter Mix" (snow>sleet>rain). We can do without more of that (I heartily agree about the driving part!) ME-Judy (ready for spring)

I love the look when the snow clings to the bare branches of leafless trees... against a bright blue sky and sunshine! The crispness of it all.... no way to describe it except beautiful!!! (Assuming you are inside LOOKING at it... not outside shoveling it!)

Beautiful pictures - thank you, I don't get snow where I live but it sure gets cold.
