OT y'all be good now

I am going to be out of touch, off planet as it were, in the wilds of the Adirondack Mountains for two whole glorious wonderful weeks. Hand applique and some embroidery is packed for on the plane; some fabric to share with Mom, Sis and Sis-I-L; plans for group S.E.X. at Black Bear Quilting. Wheeeeee! I've been trying to remember when I last had two weeks off and my memory doesn't stretch back that far :-)

Hugs, prayers and happy dances being sent out prophylactically.

Do not even *think* about troubling yourselves with raiding my meager stash. The house sitter has been forewarned and has been shown how to use a rotary cutter as a weapon. Don't even *think* about it :-D

There is not a snow ball's chance that we are going to be good while you're away. Not even if you promise to bring us something. Just forget it. Your trip sounds so marvelous. What did you do to deserve it? Never mind. Polly

Hope you have a great time Anne but how do you pronounce 'Adirondack' ????

DH made me two Adirondack chairs for the back deck and everyone asks what they are called. I think it it is Ad- iron-dack ( with that Aussie accent of course). Am I even remotely close ?

You're close Dee. It's pronounced "Add-a-ron-dack" in New Joisey.

The way I pronounce it is Add-er-on-dack, and I've been visiting the Park my whole life. Emphasis goes on the dack. (Add her on deck with a vowel change from e to long a for dack).

there is no way I am gonna risk getting hurt by a barely trained non professional rotary cutter user house sitter! if she were a pro at using a rotary cutter (AKA quilter) I *might* consider it LOL

Have fun, Anne ! Don't worry about us, if you like the Adirondack Mountains, just stay some weeks longer... Heidi ( who will be in CA in August and will check the directory for stash raiding addresses :-)) )

A pro at using a rotary cutter wouldn't want to dull her blade on anything except fabric, Jessamy! Flesh might not be good for those blades.
