Be good!

I'm off to visit my parents in Amarillo, Texas and won't be on the newsgroup much, if at all. Y'all behave yourselves and if you don't.....have fun!!! Keep us in your thoughts as my dad has been hospitalized for about three weeks, so I don't really know what I'll find when I get there. It all depends on how accurate my mother's reports have been. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I'll be back just after that!

Thanks to everyone who sent their best wishes. Dad is home from the rehab hospital, but he's far from being self sufficient. He's very weak from being in the hospital bed for three weeks and isn't very motivated to work through it. He's going to have a physical therapist come to the house as well as a nurse and a bath aide. We'll just have to see how it all goes. He and my mother don't seem to have the best relationship any more, so I hope things won't get worse. I think if people had an "off" button, he would push it and be done. But it doesn't work that way. I think the next couple years are going to be real doozies! Many of you have been through it all before and know it's difficult to say the least. It's nice to have this group to lean on and vent to. Thanks again.

Kathyl, Yes, this is a difficult time of life for a family. I've been through this a few times, as have others here in RCTQ Land. As you say, it is nice to have this group ... is is especially nice to have quilting, even if one only manages to play with some fabric now and then. Quilting is a comfort in many of life's trials.

Hugs, PAT > Thanks to everyone who sent their best wishes. Dad is home from the rehab

Kathyl, I'm glad to read the good news, and I'm sad to read the not-so-good. Here's hoping things improve for your parents and you.

Thank you Sandy. I appreciate your thoughts. It is nice he could get back home and hopefully he can recover some strength to get around a little better.
