pineapple block

I recently saw a quilt with a pineapple motif. It was not various versions of the log cabin but an actual pineapple. It was a pieced block but also had an appliqued top(leaf) the quilt that I saw finished was done completely in gorgeous batiks. Can anyone tell me the name of the pattern and hopefully where I can buy it.? THis group has been so helpful Thanks Ceegee

good morning, i just got online and it is only 9:15am here in the south pacific time zone i'm in. did you google images yet? use various combos of words. the pineapple in the pacific region is used as a sign of 'welcome'. great one to have near the front door i reckon. i'll google and see if i can find the one you're looking for. iirc, i've seen it somewhere recently. bbs, jeanne

this what you're looking for?on the first page of google images using 'quilt pineapple'.easy peasy, eh. that piecing is done with a 'braid' pattern. now where is one online for free, hmmmm. maybe one on

she lists all her free blocks by name, so ya might need to search a bit, as the braid may or may not show in the name. could also be in her 'borders' section. cheers, jeanne

Are you really Sally Field in disguise? We like you, we really-really like you. And quilting. ;-D

Glad you found the pattern. (I saw it in a newsletter, listed as a class, then in some online catalog. Amazing the things that stick in the memory bank, tiresome what doesn't. )
