Polly is SAFE - Hurray!!!

I have just had a one line e-mail which said that POLLY IS ALIVE.

It didn't say where/how/when or any details about the family at all. Just what I've told you - but that's all we were longing to hear isn't it.

It was just one line, from a man I've never heard of, and a name I didn't recognise as a family name, but it did say that she had asked him to let me know. So, I'm hoping to heaven that it isn't a hoax.

So, our Polly and Kate have survived. Thank God for that.

Oh thank the Angels, heavens, God whoever or whatever! You just can't believe the wonderful feeling that came over me when I opened the newsgroup to see that post. Thank you Polly, come home soon and safe - we will be waiting with hugs, love, stash, chocolate - you name it. And thank you to that man, whomever and whereever you are.

HOORAY from Oz!!

I have just heard from two friends who were holidaying near NO as well - they got out of the Dome and were bussed to Huston, and are working on coming home to Oz as I write. May we all get such good news about friends and loved ones!

Yes, I know, Kate. It did *feel* right.

It's just that, as I was writing, I had the thought that so many hoaxes happen these days, and someone could have seen all our posts about Polly in the last few days and just ... ? (I can't forget that someone was told a loved one was killed in the tsunami - but hadn't been). . In message , Kate Dicey writes

...I'm still cautious on this..... I pray this is so...but there are a lot of crackpots who read thru these ngs. Let's hope we hear some more definitive news.

This makes me feel much better. Being a *cautious* optimist, I probably won't feel totally relieved until I actually see a post from Polly OR one of you tells us you have received a post directly from her. Just to give everyone a little smile -- a pessimist says a glass is half empty, an optimist says a glass is half full, a mother says the glass is bigger than it needs to be :-)))! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Yes, I do understand. The only thing that still does bother me slightly is that this James Johnston used the name 'Polly' (her RCTQ name), rather than Polly's family name (which is what I always use in e-mails). I'm still hoping, too ... . In message , Bronnie writes

Would you feel comfortable writing back to him and asking for details? That might clarify his truthfulness.

Dogmom, hoping to God that it's true.....
