(This message has been sent twice and I can see it, but I don't think anyone else can!)
Some of you know that my dad has been fighting a rather rare blood disease for a couple of years now. We learned today that it has morphed into full-blown Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML).
There are a couple of courses of action. One is aggressive chemo in a hospital setting for up to a month. Pro: 45-50% chance of remission, especially if you attack early. Con: harsh side effects, 10% fatality risk.
He'll enter the hospital on Monday. We are not giving up!
Y'all have come through like champions in the prayer department for my family before. Whatever your religious beliefs or affiliations, please pray/think good thoughts/call down blessings on him, my mom, and the medical team that will be taking care of him. He's a good man who really "gets it" about quilting!
Thanks, Monique in TX
