Question - looking for star pattern or name

In the old QNM (from the 90s) there are some ads for quiltmaker magazine that highlight a quilt using a star blcok, set on point alternating light and dark backgrounds..

Do you know the name of the pattern or where I could find it?

Lets see if I can describe it better...

Block is a nine patch each of the four corners are solid the center squares are made up if three pieces (maybe four actually) a small triangle and two long diamonds that meet to make a rectangle..

anyone.. ??

Thank you so much!!

Louise,

Thanks so much! The design is closes to what Jeanne wrote in... but when googled the pattern, I didn't see any quilt laid out the way this one it so I'm excited to try it out.. I liked to optical illusion that came from the long lines connecting and havin the stars set on point with opposite dark and light backgrounds...

Thanks again!
