trouble cutting blocks

Hi is there anyone here who could give me some tips and techiqines on cutting the perfect quilt block. Lollie

If it's your ruler that's slipping, your LQS or TSWLTH has packets of both ruberized or sandpaper-like sticky dots that you stick to the underside of your rulers to keep them from slipping. Just a thought. That, and keeping even pressure on your ruler as you cut. ME-Judy
