It was the first time I've ever sent one out and it felt sort of like when my DD#1 went to school for the first time. But our own Karen Garza took such good care of it -- don't you agree? It is hard to tell from the photo but the thread is shaded from dark to light brown and just suits the quilt to a tee. Kudos to Karen, and thank you again to the ones who made most of these blocks and sent them for my birthday.

Thanks for compliments on the layout -- it was fun to come up with that one. And Karen's quilting helps the stars to sparkle, I think.

Beautiful! I keep struggling with the idea of letting someone else quilt my quilt. Good for you for following through. It is lovely.
Beautiful quilting and a stunning and imaginative setting
bravo on both counts!
It came down to letting someone else quilt it or leaving it in the UFO basket. Poor quilt whimpered and moaned at me and gave me no peace at all, at all, until I finally gave in.

Thanks Cheryl. EQ5 really came through on this one -- I don't think I'd have dared try this setting without being able to make several versions in the virtual world first.
