Quilt show and news...<G>

Our "local" big guild quilt show is tomorrow and Sat. I have 4 quilts entered, but only 2 for judging because they had so many entries this year they had to limit the number judged. (Over 450 quilt will be hung for this show, a record for the show. But considering that the membership numbers over 2200, yes well over two thousand, from most of the state "north of Tucson" that is a miserable showing. IMO )

Any way.... I got a call yesterday, my theme entry "Seven Sisters, Forty Nine Cousins" got an honorable mention. I am pleased. (Competition is fierce at this show... Sharon Schamber is a member of the guild, as is Cristi Finchley,(SP??) Gina Perkes and others of that level. One reason so many members are reluctant to enter the show, even for display only.)

Will take pics as I can tomorrow and Sat and post in my webshots probably Sun/Mon.

The show is at ASU West in west Phoenix/Glendale. Not too far from where I live actually. If she is in the Phoenix area she is fairly close.... the college is on Thunderbird between 43rd Ave and 51st Ave. If you want to pass on my e-mail addy please do so.

Congratulations on your ribbon! That is really exciting news.

Hurrah for being brave enough to enter too. I can see how having quilters like that in the group would be intimidating.
