quilt show tomorrow

Hi all, Getting quite excited about the quilt show tomorrow. Mostly because it will be about 5 hours of ME time without two little people yelling "Mummy!" every

2 minutes. Love them to bits but we all need a break, don't we. I am signed up for two classes, one is Stained Glass patchwork and the other is about embellishing using beads and other techniques - neither I have any experience of so they should be fun.

Will take the camera and lots of pictures!

Where is the show, Morag? I only ask in case it is somewhere that Elly (from Thurso - ish) could get to sometime? . In message , Morag in Scotland writes

Edinburgh - at the Ingliston showground near the airport. Quite a long hike from Thurso i'm afraid ;-( Morag

Wow, I wish there had been a quilt show when I was in Edinburgh...that really would have been the topper to an already wonderful trip. Have a great time. Yes, we all needed time away from our little people now and then. Enjoy yours.

PLEASE email me after your embellishing class-tell me HOW you did it in detail, etc. May just be the answer I'm looking for in DD's Christmas WUH.

Thanks Butterfly

"With Christmas on the horizon, construct an Eastern 'nightscape' in the rich colours of the Orient and embellish the sky and forecground with metallic foils and beads".

Sounds like fun, will certainly tell you how it was done and will take pics too. This is the website of the lady who is leading the session :
