Jessamy is OK !!!!

I just called Jessamy.. ( with thanks to Roberta! ) She told me she is ok.. Had a hard time because her computer died of old age and all her newly made patterns and half of her new book was on there.. You can imagine that she had a hard time with loosing that! She now has a other computer and is installing all she needs on that to be able to come back to RCTQ soon.. she said if all goes well she will be here soon again! She will have to wait and see if the Quilty stuff can be recovered from the old harddisk.. Anyroadup.. She is alive and kicking! So .. panic is over.. everyone breath easy!! inhale.... exhale!! there we go..! Jeanne..stop worrying now, and smile!

FiederEls.. (mission accomplished! Returning to headquarters and reporting to M.. Hello miss Moneypenny.. you look mighty fine today!..) ;-)

I hope Jessamy can go back into the archives and see the great detective work that was done to check on her. A truly world wide effort. If she ever has a "down" day and wonders if anyone cares....that would certainly be the way to find the answer. YES! Congrats to all you sleuths who got the job done. I'm glad it has a happy ending....well, except for the part where she lost all her info on her old computer.

Thanks, well done! Computer problems seemed the most likely cause. We'll be happy to see her again! Roberta in D

Thanks for checking up on her for us. Glad to hear she is Ok, just having computer issues. I hope she can recover her work, even part of it would be a help I would imagine.

Thanks for the update, FE! I'm glad to hear she's okay, but I know how devastating it is to lose stuff like that. Backing up is *so* necessary! :S

once i find jess online, i'll see if i can help her from her get her files back. will depend on what part of her puter died on her. if it was the mother board or power unit or similar, we should be able to retrieve those files off the hard drive by installing it into the new puter. setting one as master, one as slave and use a free program i found online to 'recover' those files back onto the new hard drive. so maybe all is not lost. i'm just sooooooooooo happy we found her. you can not imagine the thots that went thru my mind during the past few weeks. happy happy in nz, jeanne

yup, backing up is vital...dont ask how i know that. an alternative for those without a back up system is to use an @yahoo or @gmail or @hotmail addy and mail files to yourself there. always accessible online and as long as their systems dont go kaput on ya, you should have those files for eternity and then some. wish i'd done that, oh well. happy happy in nz, jeanne

I must admit I had a couple grim thoughts as the search continued. I'm so glad it's all good!
