Quilting Industry Bailout

i reckon the quilting industry bigshots ought to get together and ask Congress for a bailout. use the billions to run free classes, lower the cost of materials for the home quilter, maybe drop taxes on all quilting supplys and set up a new govt agency to provide all this knowledge to the masses. :)

makes more sense to me than the latest two who are asking for a bailout for an industry that they claim is 'cherished by americans'. i reckon there'd be more chance of quilters getting a bailout than those two idiots. i dont even want to name them or their stupid industry. suffice to say it is one of the top headlines on CNN site as i type this. argh....... cherished???? not by as many as they'd like to think. j.

WPA had sewing and quilting as part of their plan. One project was to provide decorator items for public buildings and the other was to keep our handwork heritage alive. I like the idea of a quilting co-op as part of this current recovery act.
