You might try to email the Southern California Council of Quilt Guilds to see if they can put you in contact with a guild that was affected by the wildfires.

I too am in South Orange County. I belong to Beach Cities Quilter's Guild (sorta). You can check with them regarding the patterns. You can write to them at snipped-for-privacy@beachcitiesquilters.org. Their next meeting will be on Thursday night at the Holiday Inn in Laguna Hills at 6:30 pm.

What a great idea. I also have a bunch of cross stitch charts to find a new home for, so that might be something else to approach the senior centers about. Thanks everyone for all your great suggestions and help.

Another thing might be to find out about local charity yard/garage sales ...

With the fires in So. Cal., I'm wondering if a quilt guild there would like them to use to make quilts for those burned out or, gasp, for a quilter who lost his/her stash......
