This morning Alex Anderson's show was about a Japanese stone path quilt. It was beautiful, however the directions really didn't have pattern pieces. Has anyone made this quilt or a quilt like it? The quilt looks more like a stone wall, and it is a beauty.
I would like to find a pattern, but don't really want to buy her book for one pattern.

Several ladies in my guild made that quilt. I think it was a Sylvia Pippin pattern/book. Maybe your local library or quilt guild has a copy to borrow?

I enjoyed the show too, but marching along to my different drummer, it seemed to me that her idea would work beautifully with a crazy quilt. Her pieces on the stone wall were generally just rectangles with rounded corners and sort of tilted. Don't you think we could do that without a pattern if we had a pretty good picture of the quilt?
