Software for quilt layout? Pre-drawn quilt elements?

The book that comes with has 6 lessons, they are pretty clear, everything is pictured, so no issues with figuring out by what they mean by press the something button. I would definitely work through the lessons yourself, there are so many features that you'd miss stuff if others tried to teach you. Then if there is a specific thing you want to do, a project you have in mind, then ask friends, how do you suggest I go about doing this. Are there any designs in the library that you know might help me with this, etc. As I mentioned recently, tech support are very lovely and very helpful. I don't think EQ6 is something you can just start using and get fab results, but if you take the time to work through the lessons you can get into it pretty quick. I've had it 10 days and I think I've got a good idea of what I have learnt how to do and what I haven't, for example, I really haven't looked into the applique side of things at all, but I know where to go in the book and I know that those tools can also be helpful for creating quilting motifs. On the other hand, I've got a large quilt that I've had in mind for ages all drawn out and have worked through how to print foundation patterns etc.

Cheers Anne
