This and the designs Cheryl made today opened a new world af idea's in my head and my outlook on the use of certain fabrics.......ow my word...now I have to buy some more fabrics..........:))

Was really taken with Karen's "Fabricks" and "Inner Glow". Since I've never made anything with diamonds (not even Tumbling Blocks) I know I'd never be able to make "Inner Glow", but when I looked at "Fabricks", I reaized it is only rectangles and half-square triangles and, by Jove, I just might be able to do that one.

That looks somewhat like some of Karen Combs optical illusion quilts. She does have a book "Optical Illusions for Quilters" is the title, I think. In it she describes how to get that effect.

That is from a stained glass design by Jillian Sawyer. The book is called "Dragin Wings". Her SG designs are great for applique. Her recent teddy bear book is just gorgeous.

Thats nice, but I also like her earlier pattern, the one next to the sunflower, its the middle one on the 5th row down, the one with staggered diamonds done in strips?

Now if someone could tell me how that was done, I'd be a very happy camper!
