Special patterns surch

I think you will find it is done using a similar method to Ricky Timms Convergence Quilts (ie. make two designs, cut into strips, sew together alternating strips). The underlying designs look like bargello type designs.

you do that by making 2 identical pieces diamond shaped centres joined (the reds) that are half the height you want and join them together. then make 2 identical > shapes as wide as the two diamonds are high and half the width stack the two > panels and cut even cuts (keeping cut sections in the correct order!) then cut the diamond into the same width cuts (keeping cut sections in the correct order!)

then slide the > bits between the diamond cuts to make the top remembering to flip the bottom layer of the > shapes so as to complete the >< effect between the shape

that's all folks! not taking bets but knowing someone is lost lol

Suzie, that is a "Convergence" type variation. If you can look at it and see that every other strip goes together, and the "other" go together. Then they are cut vertically and "converged" a la Ricky Tims. Looks a lot more complicated than it really is.
