Autumn scarf, a september FO.

I am working on my jacket, but I wanted to have a simpler work to put in my bag, so I made an Autumn Scarf. I started one of these cold blowing days, when I thought the winter was just around the corner. The coloures are not so sharp as they are on the photo, but joyful enough to cher me up a grey autumn day ;-)

used an online pattern as a base,I cannot remember if it is a pattern one of you have shared with us?Or I just found it surfing on the net for patterns?(It is called " Long-ways Scarf")I could not find it on the net today,("error message"on the page)BUT if it works later;

did not use the pattern just as it was,The original scarf is made from blue tones/a bit purple lace weighted varigated yarn, I like it SO much!! But of course there are no such colour here.

I used the pattern rows, but used varigated yarn+ single colored in matching tones, thinner sports yarn, so MY scarf is completely different. AUD ;-)

I just had a look around the search engines, Aud. I came up with one called "Long Rainbow Muffler" near the bottom of

Hi Aud,

That is so pretty and will look great this winter. I tried that page and it's not there for me either.

Beautiful, Aud. I also couldn't find the pattern, and, in fact, heartstrings doesn't even have a free scarf pattern at all. Thanks for sharing the picture with us.

Hej Aud!

The scarf you made is beautiful! I love it! And, as usual, I like your way of taking photos.

I found a cached copy of the scarf pattern using Google:

made a tiny URL since the originary URL was waaaay too long.I strongly recommend everyone interested in the pattern to save it on disk or to print a copy, since cached copies don't last forever. HTH,

That's a lovely scarf and it is uniquely yours. I also found the photo of it over a jacket and am impressed with way you have done both photos.

You are all welcome!

I can explain how I found it, at least I can try. I went to the homepage of the website:

I used the google bar on IE: I wrote scarf and searched in the site (there are two options: search the web and search the site). One of the first results was the originary URL but, as we know, it doesn't work. Then... I clicked on "cached" and that's it. The trick doesn't work all the times, but it's worth a try...

Good that you found it, Anna Maria! I had the cached site too, but I thought that if I sent you that link, it would not work for you others, since the real page was gone! Now I learned something new! But IF the page is gone forever, I think the cached one will be out of the "system" sooner or later, may be "sooner"LOL! AUD ;- Glad you like my scarf! Thank you for kind words!

Excellent, thank you so much, Anna Maria! I am definitely saving it to a disk, and copying and pasting the text to wordpad to save as well. :o)

Peace! Gemini

Thanks much for the explanation. I had never tried the "cached" option before. Just goes to show you're never too old to learn something new.
