SARAH; I love the scarf, and I really like the name SEAWEEDSCARF!!!! LOL! Some years ago I myself was very occupied with motifs from sea, and weaved seaweed.
This is the one: Here we call it "fingerweed". The background is UGLY, but at this picture you see the "fringes":
