MAY-FO, my afghan

Despite that I thought I had NO time for knitting this month, I finished my afghan. As I planned to use it, sitting outside in the summer eves, I was eager to finish it, but did not think it wold be the MAY-FO!!!

(Well, there was very little time left for reading, then! LOL)

I used the same colour tones in the squares, (much from my stash), but different patterns....knitted and crocheted. The result was a bit *busy* with lots of coloures and lots of patterns. So, to calm it down a bit , I made broader edges(and not so many squares) than I had planned. It was a bit different from what *I* thought it would be, but my daughter loves it, and have told me that she want to inherit it ;-)))) Then I should be happy enough!

Here it is, I hope the pictures are not too heavy!:

After looking at your new afghan and sweater, I would say you are in love with blues and greens :-). Both of them are beautiful and the afghan is so creatively done.

Hi Aud,

That afghan is lovely and I know you daughter will enjoy it someday while you enjoy it now.

Aud, that is so pretty! Congratulations. I'm not surprised that your daughter loves it. I do too, and I think she has great taste, and it goes without saying that you do too.

I really like the afghan - your plan certainly worked to keep it interesting but still calming. (I love the sweater that was next to it in your pictures - it reminds me of the sea. )

Good friends of ours brought us a wonderful book of photographs of Norway when they came to the US for a conference last week. (They are a married couple - both orthodontists but one in Norway and one in Sweden). The book had several great pictures of your city! It is certainly beautiful. I remember seeing some of the areas featured in the pictures you have shared here.
