Take-along projects and Circles

Howdy!

Today I put together a cute little quilt top to send away to a future new friend. One big star in the middle, for the Lone Star State, doesn't matter what kind of star so I used this pattern for the diamonds done w/ 1/2 square triangles:

Tomorrow my f-i-l (age 82) has surgery for prostate cancer (prayers, good thoughts and positive vibes appreciated) and I'm going to Stephenville to stay w/ m-i-l for a couple of nights. Stan will be on guard, of course, and will pee on the feet of anyone who thinks they can raid our stash.

Got the quilt top done and sandwiched, got the case of water in the Cruiser (S-ville has icky water ), the M&Ms in the tote bag w/ a couple of books, and away we go! F-i-l's Dell computer is on dial-up; I'll see what I can see. ;-D Btw, The Flying Needle is in Stephenville, easy to reach; they specialize in western theme fabrics:

Circles: 25 yrs. ago grandfather-in-law had this same surgery, and my 5-month old baby and I went to stay w/ Grand-Nonie for

3 nights; she had Alzheimer's so it was like taking care of 2 kids, w/ the older one trying to run away from home all the time. I do believe "What goes around comes around" and "What you put out there into the world comes back to you." And Life goes 'round in circles.

Safe travels! Hope all goes well. Many people say it's soothing to watch someone else quilt, so it sounds like you're all set to take care of both MIL and yourself. Roberta in D

That certainly would discourage a good number of would-be stash raiders! Beware of Husband!
