Batik sales going on anyplace?

I have a wedding quilt to make before June next year and I'd like to do batiks. Both halves of the soon-to-marriage are fond of the beach so I though batiks would be perfect. I already have some Hawaiian-type fabric a friend bought to help me out but I have little batiks already in my stash. Anyone know of some good sales for fat quarters going on? Free shipping? Anything? ;-) I'm watching a couple of things on eBay, but my eBay skill are poor, and I'm cheap...LOL. When the starting bid for a piece of fabric is already $8.00 and the shipping is $4.50, not a chance of me buying it! Thanks! Debi

Batiks direct from Bali.... $7.00/yard, $2.50/FQ, and she doesn't gouge on shipping either. NAYY

I can vouch for Teresa. She lives in Guam for half the year and makes routine trips to Bali so she buys direct from the source. To order or if you have any questions just send her an email (click on 'learn more about guamquilter' for the addy).

I don't know about a sale, but try fabric.com, or equilter.com. I have ordered from both of them several times, and have never had trouble with them.

Hi Debi, I'm working on a queen-sized batik quilt, so I have bought a lot of batik fabric over the past year. Just keep searching - there is some great fabric out there for $4-7/yard. Some of the places I got mine were:

and craftconn.com (20 hand dyed fat quarters for under $40). I'll let you know if I remember others. I don't have a lot of big pieces left, but if you end up needing a certain size scrap, let me know and I'm happy to share some also.

Thanks for all the leads! I'm still exploring and hopefully will settle on something soon. Snail's Trail/Monkey Wrench looks like waves so that's the direction I'm going. Between batiks, waves and Hawaiian prints, that thing will have so much motion you may get ill just looking at it! Debi

You too? I sent them an email about this, but no reply and no change in frequency. Maybe if I send one direct to Justin that would make a difference.
